Theory 1: Trying Out One's New Sword
Discuss: The author discussed that other people from other countries shouldn't limit/stop/hinder from commenting or criticizing other countries' cultures for as long as you are not there judging it and comparing it with your own culture but you are there instead criticizing for the sake of learning from it and letting others learn in the process.+
Example: The Philippines would troll a patent from the US but since there are some practices / laws that weren't applicable here in the Philippines but were applicable in the US or vice versa then certainly the patent should somehow be put into the context of the Philippine rules or laws.
Theory 2: Utilitarianism
Discuss: This states that happiness is the ultimate end and the one thing that is desireable and the only thing that is desireable. And this also take into considerations the opinion of the majority and if the majority won't benefit from it then that patent wouldn't be taken into considerations.
Example: The Philippines would troll a patent from the US but according to a survey or opinion of our Government that they don't agree with it so that would be dropped.
Theory 3: Need For More than Justice
Discuss: This states that each and everyone of us struggles to gain justice or way beyond that justice we perceived to be.
Example: There is a certain person whose rights can't be justified or saved by our laws or by our courts because there is no such patent here in the Philippines stating that so we need to troll one from a country which could help mend the case.
